CHOCOLATE PEAR SPONGE CAKE
4oz Caster Sugar
1 Tablespoon pure Vanilla Essence
4oz Self Raising Flour
1oz Cocoa Powder
Tinned or Fresh Pears, Halved.
Cream the margarine and sugar together, until light and fluffy.
Add in the 2 beaten eggs and vanilla essence and mix thoroughly.
Mix in the Self Raising flour and cocoa powder.
Place the pears hump side up in an ovenproof dish and cover with the chocolatey cake mixture
Bake in oven @ 180 degrees C for 40 mins.
Serve with Fresh Cream or Vanilla Custard or Vanilla Ice Cream.
