  1. Hi, we (my teenage daughter and me) came across your blog whilst looking through photos of springer spaniels on google images. Your smiley springer looks great – the star of the show. We have a black and white springer called Toby who loves swimming and collecting giant sticks. (i.e small trees) My girls have uploaded a funny but poor quality mobile phone video of Toby with such a stick at a waterfall in the auvergne last year (‘dog catches giant stick’ my daughter says her u tube address is http://www.youtube.co.uk/gymmaniac101). Nice reading your blog – hope to get back to read some more – Im fairly new to all this. Best wishes

  2. Hi Louise & Amy…

Many thanks for your kind comments and for popping in to my blog for a wee visit.

I had a look at Toby over on you tube, he’s certainly a clever powerful dog, and its just the kind of thing that our 2 get up to must be a springer thing)!

  4. Hi,

I love the photo, it really made me chuckle!

I have a very similar photo of my 4 year old Springer Rio. He is a real smiler!

    Sally.

  5. HI, GREAT PICTURE OF A GREAT SMILE. I HAD A SPRINGER UP UNTIL THIS PAST JUNE 2nd. HAD TO HAVE HIM PUT DOWN. HE WAS ONLY 6 YRS. OLD BUT HAD A FAST MOVING BRAIN TUMOR WITH BARELY NO SYMPTOMS TILL IT WAS TOO LATE. HE WAS MY LITTLE BOY AND BEST FRIEND AND I STILL HURT FROM LOOSING HIM. I STILL HAVE TIMES WHEN I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES LOOKING AT PICTURES OF HIM. HIS NAME WAS BUCKY… GOD I MISS HIM…

  6. Hi there Cal and thank you for visiting 🙂

I’m so so sorry to hear about bucky, it is never easy losing a much loved friend, you must lost without him.

I know exactly how you are feeling, I lost my Golden Retriever to liver cancer, and I was devestated at the time, that was a few years ago now, I still miss him.

    Take care Cal

  8. hey there, your english springer is sooooo cute, i have one who is 7 months and she is such a great companion. but in april i lost my golden labrador because he had a big tumour on his leg and then he had one in his bladder and he was 14 so we had to get him put down and all my family still miss him loads he also had a great personality.

  9. Hi there, just came across your picture and it’s just made my day! 🙂 We had a springer since 1995 and she was the most incredible animal, she brightened up every day in the house. I was 12 when we got her so I grew up with her and have loads of photos of her grinning and striking all sorts of silly poses. She loved the camera, and she knew when the lens was on her, no doubt about it! Sadly she passed away in late 06 but she had the best life she could have hoped for. Anyway, the photo made me think of her and remember what a joy she was. Be sure to cherish your little beauty every day. 🙂

  10. Hi Fiona..

    Thank you for visiting 🙂

We are glad we made your day, also bringing back some memories for you of your springer girl, they sure do make an impact in your life..

We love our dogs, and have to admit there is never a dull moment with a springer around.

    Take care x
